Constituent Colleges
The constituents of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences University are subdivided under five Faculties: -

I. FACULTY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Constituent College: Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College: Established in 1990, it is now among the best private medical colleges in the country. It also has the intake capacity of 150 students annually which is the highest among the private medical colleges in Maharashtra. Since its inception, it has grown by leaps and bounds thereby earning fame and recognition. The Management has also invested heavily in the infrastructure and manpower so as to ensure that it conforms to all the guidelines of the regulatory bodies. This Institute has been expanding continuously in terms of educational programmes, research, infrastructure which resulted into it being accorded the status of a Deemed University which is another feather in its cap. Another achievement of this Institute is that it is the only Medical College in India to have been selected for setting up of a Centre of Excellence in Interventional Radiology by the Technology Information Forecasting & Assessment Council (TIFAC) of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. It has recently been notified by the Medical Council of India as one of the 8 Regional Centers for National Faculty Development Programme.

The College itself is a unique blend of modern architecture and ancient principles of architecture which stands out in its appearance. It boasts of spacious lecture halls, good museum, well stocked central library facilities with all modern aids, Internet connectivity through V-SAT and above all highly qualified & experienced faculty.
Courses offered: M.B.B.S, B. Sc DMLT, B.Sc (MIT), M.D., M.S., Master in Public Health, Ph.d
Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural Hospital (AVBRH) is a 950 bedded fully equipped teaching Hospital attached to the Medical College with state of the art facilities. It motto is “ Cure with Care” and it is certainly living upto the same with the help of its dedicated team of highly qualified, skilled and experienced doctors and technicians. Inspite of it being located away from a major city, it offers super specialty treatment in the form of advanced surgeries such as Cardiac surgeries (First in the entire district), Renal Transplant (only Private Medical College Hospital in Central India), Joint replacement, Corneal transplant, Endoscopies and Laparoscopic surgeries, Neuro and Spinal surgeries, Maxillofacial and Plastic surgeries as well as Oncosurgery to name a few. It is backed by the latest medical, imaging and diagnostic equipment such as Colour Doppler, CT Scan, High precision monitors, which are upgraded periodically to keep pace with the latest advancements in the filed of Medicine. It is also equipped with an ultra modern Operation Theatre Complex with attached ICU, ICCU, Surgical ICU, Pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICUs having all the necessary equipments such as Multipara monitors, Central Monitoring System, Ventilators for providing the best possible treatment to the patient and also give the best environment to the aspiring doctors to excel in their field. Due to its expertise, this Hospital has gained lot of goodwill and has also earned the trust of the local populace which is reflected in the number of patients in the OPD and IPD. This showcases the talent and expertise of this Deemed University. This comprehensive tertiary level Hospital is fast developing into a Referral Centre of Central India.

II. FACULTY OF DENTAL SCIENCES
Constituent College: Sharad Pawar Dental College - Established in 1991, it is now among the best private Dental colleges in the country. It has an intake capacity of 100 students annually in the Undergraduate level. It boasts of all facilities which are on par with the best in the world. To cater to the students needs, it has well developed museums, well equipped departmental libraries, highly qualified & experienced faculty and more than 300 Dental Chairs.

The standout point of by the Dental Hospital is that it is the largest Maxillofacial Surgery setup in Central India. Apart from the above speciality, the other important services being offered are: -
  • Special Orthodontic care
  • Head and Neck Oncology
  • Facial trauma care
  • Plastic and reconstructive surgery
  • Cleft and Palate surgery
  • Orthognathic surgery
  • Periodontal surgery & guided tissue generation
  • Endodontic therapy & aesthetic surgery
  • Paediatric dental care
  • Implantology
All the above are backed up by state of the art facilities and equipment such as Panoramic X-Ray, Cephalostat, Colour Doppler, Spiral CT Scan to name a few.

The College is also very much aware of its social responsibilities and therefore has established well equipped sub-centres in the 7 adjoining taluka areas. It has also adopted 4 schools and one ‘Vruddhashram’ (Old Age Home). The students and faculty are encouraged to go in for research and this is evidenced by the various awards and laurels won by the Institute on national and international level.
Courses offered: B.D.S, M.D.S, PG Diploma in Dentistry, Ph.D, Certificate Course in Dental Mechanics

III. FACULTY OF AYURVEDIC SCIENCES
Constituent College: Mahatma Gandhi College of Ayurveda and Research: This College has been started in 2008 offering the B.A.M.S course (Bachelor in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) which is of 4 years duration and is followed by 6 months internship. The college is located in a sprawling campus in Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha. It has its own herbal garden spread over 2 acres of land and its hospital is providing its services to the rural populace in the region.
Course offered: B.A.M.S. (English medium)

IV. FACULTY OF NURSING SCIENCES
Constituent College: Smt. Radhikabai Meghe Memorial College of Nursing: This College was started in the year 2002 and offers all the courses related to the field of Nursing. It was included under the ambit of the deemed University in the year 2009. It is the first private college in the state of Maharashtra to start the M.Sc Nursing programme. It is attached to the 950 bedded teaching hospital in the same campus.
Courses offered: B.Sc (Nursing), Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing), M.Sc (Nursing)

V. FACULTY OF PARAMEDICAL SCIENCES
Constituent College: Ravi Nair College of Physiotherapy: This College was started in the year 1998 and was included under the ambit of the deemed University in the year 2009. It is also attached to the 950 bedded teaching hospital in the same campus.
Course offered: M.Pth
 
The University has now got an international appeal with the influx of Foreign and NRI students from various countries including U.S.A., Australia, U.A.E., Kuwait, Kingdom of Bahrain, Qatar, Sultanate of Oman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Nigeria and Tanzania.
